3 Cent Property Tax Rate Increase

After a 2+ hour debate at a special called county commission meeting, the commission voted 8-4 passing an 80 million dollar budget. This included a 3 cent property tax hike. There was a motion by Commissioner Gary Suggs to make a 3-1/4 cut across the board for all county departments, which was unsuccessful.
