Nurses from Horizon Medical Center and medics from Dickson County EMS are reaching out to help local families in need. These families have both financial needs and acute medical problems, a combination that can put incredible strain on individuals and families. In order to bring hope to these families, Horizon and Dickson EMS are teaming up. There will be a cookout on Saturday, September 19th from 11:00 A.M. until 2:00 P.M. or until the food is sold out. The cookout will be held at 284 Cowan Rd at the new EMS station, which was the old 84 Lumber building.

Half BBQ chickens and BBQ plate lunches are each $6.00. The plate lunches will include a barbeque sandwich, baked beans, potato chips, slaw, and a drink. Hot dog plate lunches include the same sides, and are $5.00. Ice cream sundaes are also available for dessert.

Also, don’t miss the bake sale which will be held on Friday, October 30th at Horizon Medical Center. Again, the proceeds will be going to help local families. By coming out and making a donation or buying a plate lunch, you are joining the community to help others.
