Last Tuesday night Burns City Mayor Jeff Bishop announced that Burns was awarded a $425,000 Local Parks and Recreation grant by the State.

Back in 2006, Burns received a park grant in which they purchased the land near the Stuart-Burns Elementary School. Earlier this year, the city council then applied for a second grant which was just awarded.
