C&I Design received a 1.2 million dollar contract for the renovations of the old 84 Lumber building off of Cowan Rd. Last fall the county purchased the building for 1.2 million dollars for the purpose of moving the Dickson Ambulance Service into the it.
The ambulance service has been located off of West End Ave since the early 80's and is considered to be in poor condition.
Per the article in the Dickson Herald, Steve Manley the director of the services was
quoted, “Myself as well as all of the employees here are very happy, we have to thank the commissioners and the county mayor (Robert Stone) for hanging in there with us and making it happen.”
